Donald Sherwood has announced his retirement from Integra Realty Resources, effective at the end of October 2016.  Sherwood has opened Donald J. Sherwood, LLC and will be doing appraisal reviews, consulting and continuing to teach.  He received his Bachelors from Southwestern University in 1976 and his Masters from Texas A&M in 1978.

In 1996, Donald merged his firm, Sherwood & Associates, with Loughry Appraisal Company, Inc. to form Appraisal/Data Services, which later merged with Dallas-based LamBis Consulting to form Integra Realty Resources DFW. He is the author of “Easement Valuation” published by the Southwestern Legal Foundation and written numerous articles for Integra Realty and the International Right of Way Association. He is the author of several courses including “Skills of the Expert Witness” and “Reviewing Appraisals for Eminent Domain”. Donald was selected as the 2009 recipient of the Frank C. Balfour Professional of the Year Award at IRWA’s 56th Annual International Education Conference in Calgary, AB. This year alone he was a finalist for the IRWA Instructor of the Year, as well as taught IRWA classes in China, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.  He is also a past recipient of the prestigious Charles D. Tandy Award presented by the Society of Commercial Realtors for his commitment to excellence in commercial real estate market.
